How to keep your mealworms at home.

Upon receiving your mealworms from Entolab, please follow these instructions for optimal care:

1. Upon arriving home, place mealworms directly in a fridge. Ideal temperatures are between 3-7°C.

Lower temperatures may cause the mealworms to die, while higher temperatures will make them more active and in need of food and moisture, and they may begin to pupate.

2. If you plan to use your mealworms within 3 weeks, no additional care is required. You may notice a small amount of die-off, but not much.

3. For longer than 3 weeks, follow these steps once a week:

a. Remove your mealworms from the fridge.
b. Place a moisture source in with the mealworms, such as potato or carrot slices. Thinly sliced pieces work best.
c. Let the mealworms eat for 3 hours.
d. Remove any remaining moisture sources.e. If no bran remains, add a half cup of bran for every 50-60 grams of mealworms.
f. Place mealworms back into the fridge.

4. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for improvement, please reach out to Entolab at hello@entolab.co.uk.

Thank you for choosing Entolab for your mealworm needs!
